Where The Need Is Greatest

Nearly 25% of the world’s population lives within Frontier People Groups—nations with the highest barriers and the least access to the gospel. With 0.1% or fewer followers of Jesus, these are the hardest places on Earth to reach.

Unknown Nations works with over 275 Unreached and Frontier People Groups through a network of more than 3,500 indigenous missionaries. Our teams are on mission: bringing the name of Jesus to the ends of the Earth.

The need is urgent, and the time to act is now.

Maximizing Impact for the Unreached

Who Are The Frontier Nations?

Frontier People Groups are entire populations where fewer than one in a thousand people follow Jesus and there is no evidence of a sustained gospel movement. They are the most extreme subset of unreached people groups, classified at 0.0–0.1% Christian. Currently, over 4,000 Frontier People Groups exist worldwide, comprising 71.5% of all unreached groups and nearly 1.9 billion people with no access to the gospel.

Behind every statistic is a people group still waiting for their first gospel witness.

For Those Still Waiting To Hear

This is where Unknown Nations is engaged.

We work in the hardest places on earth, focusing on Frontier People Groups with no church, no witness, and no access to the gospel. Through our network of indigenous missionaries already serving in these regions, we establish gospel access where none exists. By meeting urgent physical needs and proclaiming the gospel, we create sustainable pathways for long-term church planting and discipleship among the unreached.

In these dark places, the message of Jesus brings lasting transformation. Join us in reaching those still waiting to hear.

Unknown Nations is an official partner with the Joshua Project, a trusted global resource for identifying and tracking unreached and Frontier People Groups.

They have asked Unknown Nations to help lead this effort because we believe the mission is not finished and that, as followers of Jesus, we still have a responsibility to reach those waiting to hear for the very first time.

What Your Giving Makes Possible

A gift of any size plays a role in bringing the gospel to Frontier People Groups. Here’s how your generosity can create real, measurable impact:

A gift of $5,000 can drill a well, bringing clean, life-changing water to a frontier people group village and opening doors for gospel access.

With $2,400, you can disciple two emerging leaders and help plant 10 indigenous churches in a frontier people group where none currently exist.

A gift of $1,200 can sponsor short-term training for eight leaders and supports the planting of four indigenous churches.

With $500, you can place 14 Treasure audio Bibles into the hands of those who will hear the gospel for the first time, providing gospel access for 112 people.

Our Commitment: Unknown Nations meets the highest standards of integrity and transparency, accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and recognized with a 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator. If you join as a monthly partner, you will be emailed monthly updates showing stories of impact, so that you can see the difference that you are a part of.

Life Changing Hope.

Mary, a woman disabled by polio, once felt so burdensome to her family that she attempted to end her life. Her husband, also disabled after a tragic train accident, shared her sense of hopelessness. When an Unknown Nations indigenous leader visited their home and gave them a solar-powered audio Bible, they listened together. Though once devout Hindus, hearing God’s Word led both Mary and her husband to place their faith in Christ, finding new hope and purpose.
