Experiencing Generational Breakthrough

Mr. K and his wife live in a village of more than 1,000 families, where they are the very first to believe in Jesus.

Since coming to faith, many of their friends have noticed a change. No longer weighed down by idol offerings or the daily rituals of Hinduism, their lives appear lighter and freer. Neighbors remark that their faces are brighter than before, and often ask why they smile so much. Mr. K and his wife joyfully testify that it is Jesus who has made them new, filling them with hope for the future.

After their baptism, they began attending church regularly and have continued listening to the audio Bible they were given. Their home has become a place of quiet evangelism.

Mr. K told our leader that he only needs coffee and sugar at home to do evangelism.

When friends visit, the couple simply serve coffee and share their testimony. Many of their neighbors are willing to listen, and some are even open to the gospel, though they have not yet found the courage to leave their generational religion of Hinduism.

Their faith quickly grew bold. After surrendering his life to Jesus, Mr. K began traveling with our leader, even journeying to Java Island to deliver humanitarian aid. For Mr. K, this was more than just a trip—it was a breakthrough. “Now that I am a follower of Jesus, I can step my feet on Java Island,” he said. As a Hindu, he had lived in fear that leaving his home would anger the idols and bring a curse if he failed to make the proper offerings.

Back in their village, Mr. K and his wife run a small business from the front of their home. As they wait for customers, they listen to their audio Bible. “While they listen,” our leader shared, “they gain so much knowledge of God’s Word and are learning the stories of the Bible.”

Their transformation has not gone unnoticed.

The local Hindu priest asked Mr. K to tear down the family temple on his property.

Neighbors also observed that, despite abandoning their daily offerings, the family faced no punishment from the spirit realm. In place of the old temple, Mr. K and his wife have now built a house of prayer dedicated to worshiping Jesus. They actively welcome others to join them.

As the first Christians in their village, they are praying and believing for many more to follow. Please join us in praying that God would open doors for Mr. K and his wife to continue sharing their testimony with family, friends, and neighbors—so that many more might hear and believe the Good News.
