2026 SUMMER APPEAL
Provide Clean Water & Living Water
“Every person has a body that needs water. But every person also has a soul that longs for the living God.”
How You Can Get Involved
Our goal by the end of the year is to reach at least 200 villages through water wells. Each well costs approximately $5,000.
Will you prayerfully consider partnering with us?
Together, we can provide water for families in need and carry the hope of Jesus to communities where He is still unknown.
2026 Summer Appeal Letter
Dear Friend,
There are few things more urgent than thirst.
Without water, the body cannot survive. I have seen this firsthand while traveling in remote places. In the heat of Africa, under the blazing sun, dehydration can set in quickly. Before you realize what is happening, your strength fades and your body feels the strain.
David knew there was an even deeper thirst when he wrote in Psalm 63:1 (NLT):
“O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water.”
Every person has a body that needs water. But every person also has a soul that longs for the living God.
That is why water has become such a strategic part of our work at Unknown Nations.
This past spring, I attended a conference in Nigeria where more than 200 indigenous missionaries gathered for a powerful retreat. In one of the most dangerous countries to follow Jesus, these leaders were refreshed and equipped for the mission ahead.
One missionary told me that in 20 years of ministry, he has never known a Muslim village to turn down water.
Think about that.
In hostile places where the gospel is often rejected, clean water can build trust and soften hearts. It meets an urgent need and opens the door for our teams to share the Living Water with people who have never heard the Good News.
We are seeing this beyond Africa. Our teams have identified remote villages throughout northern India where families are desperate for clean water and Jesus is still unknown. Multiple people groups live in these villages, including the Yadav. This Frontier People Group has more than 57 million people in India, yet fewer than one-tenth of one percent identify as Christian.
Many of these villages have no modern water system. During the summer months, their traditional hand pumps drop so low that families face serious scarcity. Because these communities are so remote, government assistance often never reaches them.
This is the opportunity before us!
Through your gift, we can respond as the hands and feet of Jesus, demonstrating the love of Christ and bringing gospel access to Frontier People Groups in India and beyond.
Can you imagine a drilling rig arriving in one of these communities? Families gather with joy as the well is dedicated. Our indigenous missionaries share the Good News, and many hear the name of Jesus for the very first time. Leaders and families gather around the Treasure audio Bible. House churches begin. What starts with a well becomes an open door for the gospel in a place where Jesus was not known.
God is making a way in parched and weary lands. Will you help us reach these nations longing for the living God?
Right now, the requests are greater than the funding. In Pakistan alone, our leader has asked for help with 100 wells. In India, Cambodia, Nigeria and beyond, villages are waiting — not only for water, but for the hope of the gospel.
Our goal by the end of the year is to reach at least 200 villages through water wells. Each well costs approximately $5,000. Will you prayerfully consider partnering with us? Together, we can provide water for families in need and carry the hope of Jesus to communities where He is still unknown.
